Hello! I’m Michi, 37 years old and a soul who feels at home between deep forests and volcanic coasts.

My journey: From pixels to pigments Born in 1988 in the mystical Harz Mountains, my path led me to Halle an der Saale, where I studied multimedia design. For over eight years, I worked as a graphic designer and learned to give form to visions. But while I used to move pixels around on a screen, today I enjoy applying the pure colour of pastel chalk directly to paper with my hands. For me, this tactile experience is the perfect balance to the digital world.

2023: A new beginning under the sun In 2023, I took the plunge and emigrated to Tenerife. The island offers me exactly the light that makes my pastel paintings shine. Here I find the contrasts that characterise my art – from the rugged power of the volcanic mountains to the endless blue of the Atlantic Ocean.

Values & passions My art is closely linked to my lifestyle. When I’m not in my studio, you’ll find me:

• Hiking: This is where I gather inspiration for my landscapes and breathe in nature.
  
  
• Weight training: Discipline and focus in training give me the energy for my creative processes.
  
  
• In harmony with my values: As a committed vegan, respect for life and nature is close to my heart – an awareness that also influences my choice of materials and the themes of my paintings.
